Your help is my survival. Will you join the #WHSHeroes?

Cinder might be small, but the plucky three-month-old has the heart of a lion. This adorable orange tabby had to fight for his life after escaping a terrible house fire. Cinder suffered burns, a serious wound to his left shoulder area, and possible lung damage due to smoke inhalation. Among Cinder’s heroes that day was you. Your commitment to the Winnipeg Humane Society helped save him and gave Cinder the opportunity to become a beloved member of his forever family. Thank you!

Today, we’re launching our end of year campaign and asking you to make a special gift to the WHS. Your generosity will help us save more animals, protect them from suffering, and promote their welfare and dignity. We are in urgent need of $35,000 before the end of the year, to help the hundreds of animals that will come through our doors over the next few months. Your generosity makes all the difference to our shelter animals. For Cinder, it meant he could get surgery immediately, receive hydrotherapy, and receive care from us to ensure his wounds healed properly before he was ready for foster care. A heroic paramedic at the scene rescued Cinder and was so taken by the kitten, that she chose to adopt him. He now has a second chance for a wonderful new life with this first responder and her family.
