Dear friends,

I am not sure about you, but for the past few weeks my online social media feeds, TV news, radio programs and even podcasts are chock-full of bad news. But we have the antidote for bad news and negativity. It is called the Winnipeg Humane Society 1001 Donations and it runs from today until Saturday, March 28th.

Get ready to be inspired by the work of our amazing staff and volunteers, giving you exclusive behind the scenes access to discover what it takes to help over 10,000 animals every year, all throughout the month of March.

Get ready to smile as you see and read about true stories of animals like Tilly, Hendrix and Ben…getting a new chance to lead a life of love, peace and safety. Follow along on our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn channels to ensure you don’t miss a single one.

Prepare to regain faith in humanity as we present a group of generous donors and sponsors who are matching every donation we receive dollar for dollar up to $60,000.

Starting today, every donation we receive will be matched. Your WHS depends on donations to survive, and in turn over 10,000 animals rely on the WHS for help and a new chance; as well as giving a voice to farm animals and wildlife through advocacy efforts and education.

Thank you to Vickar Automotive Group for being the main sponsor of the event, and thank you to Naomi Z. Levine & Arthur Mauro, Jean Britton & Ransom Slack, The Paul Albrechtsen Foundation, Bob Williams and an Anonymous Donor for agreeing to match public donations.

And thank YOU, for your constant encouragement and support. I hope you will enjoy the stories and forget about the bad news we see and hear around us. Pets don’t ask for much and they give us all their love, companionship and support us. Pets don’t judge. Help your Winnipeg Humane Society continue saving as many animals as we can.

In Service,
