The goal of the Education Department has always been to educate the public about important issues and teach empathy for all living things in fun, creative and new ways. One of these ways is by hosting youth events to help teach and celebrate special events around the world!

We are excited to be hosting the following events throughout the year with the first coming up THIS Friday!

  • World Humanitarian Day August 19th, 2022
  • World Pet Day October 4th, 2022
  • Halloween October 31st, 2022
  • Winter Holidays December 2022

These events will have a WHS Dog Ambassador present to spend an hour with kids. They will also be filled with fun educational crafts, games, and activities such as trick or treating around the shelter on Halloween, making toys and treats on World Pet Day for everyone to bring home to their own pets (or treat our very own shelter pets!), and so much more fun planned!

The Youth Events will be held in our WHS Classroom at 45 Hurst Way from 3:00pm-4:00pm. Admission is a $10 donation for ages 4 and above.

Capacity is 20 people so book your spots now!
