Cat Overpopulation: Spay and Neuter

One of the main ways to solve the cat overpopulation crisis in Winnipeg is to spay and neuter as many cats as possible.  This essentially stops the problem at the roots by constantly preventing unwanted litters.

Our clinic preformed over 6,500 spay and neuter surgeries in 2008, but we can’t do it alone.  Stray and feral cat numbers are not budging.  The community needs to band together and take responsibility for their pets and neighborhood cats.

We offer financial assistance (SNAP) to low income families that need to spay or neuter their cat.
We also provide a Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) program for members of the community who wish to help Winnipeg’s feral cat population.
