Adoption Process
- Please be prepared to show current ID with current address to answer an Animal Adoption Survey
- Please be aware that our adoption procedure may take 20 to 40 minutes or more
- Some animals adopted are held for 1 to 5 days to be spayed or neutered
- A $25.00 non-refundable deposit will hold a particular animal for 24 hours
- Payment methods accepted: Cash, Interac, Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX
Adoption Fees Include
- Health Exam by shelter veterinarian
- First vaccine(s)
- Two week Health Period
- Ownership Handbook
- Spay/Neuter for all dogs, cats, and rabbits
- Ear Tattoo
- Support System to help with any difficulties
- City of Winnipeg Dog License
- 6 weeks Petsecure Pet Health Insurance (cats & dogs)
- Behaviour Evaluations on adult dogs
- Iams food coupon for cats and dogs
Optional: Microchips are available at the time of adoption for an extra $30 fee.
